Novella Origin Sample Pack

A few months ago Westwood instruments released their brand new sample pack Novella Origin. I had the pleasure of contributing to this amazing project and provided the drum sample pack.

As the whole pack is aimed at composers who are looking for alternative sounds to what is usually on offer, we used bamboo sticks and mallets, and tuned the drums quite high. The results are ace and I’m really happy to hear how good the kit sounds.

The gear we used for the sample library was my Ludwig Classic Maple, 20, 10, 12, 14 and a black beauty snare. Then Istanbul Agop 22’ 30th Anniversary, 21’ Special Edition Jazz Ride and 15’ Agop Signature HiHats.
