September is a Great Time to Start Drum Lessons

There's something about September that always feels like a fresh start.

The summer holidays are over, routines begin to settle down again, and it's often the time people decide to try something new. If you've been thinking about learning the drums, this could be the perfect time to get started.

Taking the First Step

Every year I hear people say things like, "I've always wanted to learn the drums," or "I've been meaning to book lessons for ages."

The hardest part is usually taking that first step. Once you've started having regular lessons, you'll be surprised how quickly your confidence and playing begin to grow.

You Don't Need Any Experience

A lot of people assume they need some musical experience before booking their first lesson, but that's not the case.

You don't need to have played before, you don't need your own drum kit, and you don't need to be able to read music.

I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners who have never picked up a pair of sticks, right through to experienced professional drummers looking to improve their technique. Some students want to play in a band, others simply want a new hobby or a chance to do something creative each week. No matter what the goal or background, lessons are always tailored to the pupil's goals and experience.
