Well done Lenny!

Big shout out to Lenny, achieving a whopping 98/100 Distinction on his Grade 7 Trinity exam!!

Lenny is a very dedicated pupil and an absolute joy to teach, as he shows focus and determination beyond his years. Alongside learning techniques, rudiments and styles on the drums, Lenny has methodically worked through each Trinity Rock and Pop Grade, teaching himself every piece in each book. This makes my job super easy, and I can just help decide which pieces we play for the exam and spend time refining them with him.

With his passion centring around metal music, I was pleased he agreed to perform ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ - Joe Cocker, which has a much more improvised focus throughout with a softer touch in places. He really demonstrated his versatility during this improvised ride out which was my favourite bit of the whole performance.

He scored a deserved 100% for this particular piece! Well done Lenny 👏
