When your pupils turn pro…

By far one of best things as a drum teacher is seeing your pupils turn pro!

I started teaching Ben around 14 years ago (we think!), and since I moved away he totally went for it, and now makes a living from gigging and teaching the drums.

He came along to the studio today for his first lesson with me in about 10 years, and it was so great to hear how well he’s been doing and how much his playing has come on. I was also glad to see he still has the same smug expression when he manages to nail something you’ve set him.

I hope this is something I get to see more and more over the next few years, as it’s a very rewarding feeling !
